Bridgerton String Quartets!
The latest season of Bridgerton just premiered and I am loving all of the string quartet music beautifully setting each scene! We are looking forward to playing some of these at our upcoming weddings and events this season.
The Pop covers so far are:
Gayle- ‘abcdefu’, covered by Vitula (Episode 1)
BTS- ‘Dynamite’, covered by Vitamin String Quartet (Episode 2)
Nick Jonas- ‘Jealous’, covered by Shimmer (Episode 2)
Sia- ‘Cheap Thrills’ covered by Vitamin String Quartet (Episode 3)
Billie Eilish- ‘Happier Than Ever’, covered by Vitamin String Quartet (Episode 3)
Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey- ‘Snow on the Beach’ by Atwood Quartet (Episode 4)
Pitbull- ‘Give Me Everything’, covered by Archer Marsh (Episode 4)
Music director Kris Bowers has also included a lot of period-appropriate Classical music this season. There are Beethoven op. 18 and op. 130 string quartets, Haydn quartet movements that span practically his entire life (op. 3-op. 76), Scarlatti and Beethoven piano sonatas, and even a newly composed work for Colin and Penelope’s love story.
