Sylvain + Teodora- Surprise Engagement!

This past weekend we had the pleasure of helping Sylvain surprise his bride-to-be, Teodora, at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. He contacted us earlier this year to have the Tessera String Quartet perform Chopin’s Nocturne op. 9, no. 2 as he proposed, and we were excited to help out!

We walked to the top of Bussey Hill on a crisp, windy morning and anxiously awaited their arrival. This stunning setting overlooks the Boston skyline, and the spring flowers were just starting to make their appearances- truly the perfect setting to propose!

Sylvain’s work colleague and pro photographer, Meena Khayami (@mkhay.photography), helped capture the moment when Sylvain dropped to one knee and popped the question. Teodora said yes!

After finishing the Chopin, we played Por Una Cabeza, a tango by Carlos Gardel made famous in the movie Scent of a Woman. Sylvain told us this is one of Teodora’s favorite songs, and coincidentally, it’s one of mine, too!

We wish this beautiful couple a lifetime of happy surprises and tango dances!
