Happily Ever Expo 2024
To kick off the summer wedding season, we headed to the Happily Ever Expo in Peabody, MA this weekend. Expos are a great way to meet with vendors face-to-face and get a feel for what it would be like to work with them for your wedding.
Our Uncommon Jazz Trio, comprised of bassist and co-owner Carlos Sulbarán, drummer Steve Langone, and pianist Bobby Butler performed for couples as they entered the expo. They played a mix of jazz standards and even took requests!

Co-owner and lead event coordinator Cassie Sulbarán was there to greet couples and discuss our offerings.
Here’s a few of the most common questions we were asked:
Do you take special requests for the ceremony or cocktail hour? Of course we do! We also don’t charge extra to customize a setlist perfect for your event- all special music is included in your quote.
What do you charge? Our rates are customized for each event and include liability insurance, travel, personalized setlists, and planning advice/help. We think it’s easier to charge an upfront price instead of tacking on fees at every step during the planning process. We do offer a discount if you book multiple services, for example, our Tessera Quartet for your ceremony and the Uncommon Jazz Trio for the cocktail hour.
3. Can you play (fill in the name of your favorite song here)? Yes, absolutely! We can play anything you have your heart set on! Our library contains over 800 selections, and if we don’t already own it, it’s our responsibility to either purchase or arrange it for you at no added cost. We’re looking forward to working with the adorable couples we met at the Happily Ever Expo, and to a summer of beautiful ceremonies around the Boston area!
